In the first two weeks of early and absentee voting, more than 8,600 Laramie County voters have already cast their ballots in the 2020 general election.

The local trend is in line with a national increase in the number of voters choosing to cast absentee ballots.

Absentee ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21.

Laramie County voters only have a few weeks left to request an absentee ballot for the November 7 Laramie County Community College bond election.

Absentee voting for the November 7 Laramie County Community College bond election begins this Thursday.

Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says about 12 percent of registered voters in the county have already cast ballots for the 2016 General Election.

The general election may still be six weeks away, but Wyomingites wanting to cast their vote before November 8 can now do so.
