2018 Budget Session

The Wyoming House will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and the Wyoming Senate at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The issues of education funding and capital construction for state buildings remained separate from the budget agreement.

The bills were all passed by both houses of the Wyoming Legislature during the 2018 session.

Lawmakers could meet on Saturday or the first part of next week or both. A special session is also not out of the question at this point.

The failure rate of proposals in the Wyoming House, especially among proposed Joint Resolutions, has been higher than in the Wyoming Senate.

Despite the demise of SF 117 and HB 30, however, the possibility of education funding cuts is by no means dead for this legislative session.

A conference committee this week is working to hammer out an agreement between the House and Senate versions of the Budget Bill.
