Suspects In String Of Colorado Armed Robberies Arrested Saturday
Police in Fort Collins say they have arrested a pair of men who are suspected of robbing several 7-Eleven stores in Fort Collins and Loveland.
According to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook Page, police were contacted about an armed robbery around 1:10 p.m. at a 7-Eleven on West Horsetooth Road. 20 minutes later police got a report of another armed robbery on South College Avenue. The suspect descriptions and behavior matched information from another 7-11 robbery in Loveland that same day and yet another on Oct. 15 in Fort Collins.
While the investigation into Saturday's crimes was continuing, a Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputy stopped a vehicle that matched the description of one believed to be associated with the suspects. That led to the arrest of 21-year-old Walter Herrera and 19-year-old Oscar Espinosa.
Both men were arrested and booked at the Larimer County Detention Center on four counts each of Menacing and four counts of Aggravated Robbery.
