
Storm Hits Cheyenne Hard
Hail, strong winds, and heavy rain buffeted Cheyenne Tuesday evening, causing damage to cars, power outages and widespread flooding. Some areas of the city reported hail as large as golf balls, and a funnel cloud was reported east of the city. The National Weather Service says about 1.46 inches of rain fell between 5:15 and 5:50. At least 65 Cheyenne Light,Fuel and Power customers reported a power outage as well, and many basements and intersections were flooded in the summer storm. So far there have been no reports of serious injuries from the storm.
