Two South Dakota men could face up to 15 years in prison after a Wyoming trooper found marijuana in their car.

According to an affidavit, 27-year-old Joseph Lapointe and 35-year-old Franklin Wright were pulled over for speeding on U.S. 85 north of Cheyenne on July 20.

The traffic stop led to a search of the car and two bags containing 3.04 pounds of marijuana were found.

Both men were arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

The two are currently being held in the Laramie County jail on $5,000 cash bonds.  Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Aug. 1 at 9 a.m.
