Snowpack at 105 Percent of Median in Wyoming

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming's snowpack heading into the spring thaw is 105 percent of median with the highest snowpack readings in the southeast part of the state.

According to the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the snowpack levels in Wyoming ranged from a high of 129 percent along the Lower North Platte Basin to a low of 80 percent in the Tongue River Basin on Monday.

The statewide median this week is down slightly from the week before, when it was at 108 percent.

Last year at this time, the state's snowpack averaged 112 percent while in 2017 it was at 132 percent.
