Siberia Was Warmer Than Cheyenne Last Week
If you think it's hot in Cheyenne, just be thankful you're not in Siberia. One of the coldest places on the planet experienced a record-breaking heat wave last week with temperatures topping 90 degrees along the Arctic Ocean coast.
On July 4th, it was actually warmer in northern Siberia than Cheyenne's high temperature of 85. Siberia is one of several places that have set new heat records this summer. On June 28th, Denver tied their all-time high at 105 degrees.
Here in southeastern Wyoming, we'll continue to see highs in the 90s this week. Luckily, the extended forecast calls for cooler temperatures next week and through the rest of July. Meanwhile, Siberia should return to their normal temperature range, with summertime highs between 40 and 60 degrees.
