University of Wyoming Men's Basketball Coach Larry Shyatt says the Cowboys need to do a better job of playing defense in the second half of games than they did in Saturday's loss at Colorado State.

The team had seven second-half defensive breakdowns on fast breaks by CSU in addition to a number of what he called "scouting breakdowns." Those occur when the Cowboys are expecting an opponent to do something based on scouting reports, but Wyoming is unable to prevent it from being successful.

Shyatt says in general the Cowboys have two major weaknesses, including defensive rebounding, and handling the ball on offense--but the pokes handled the ball well on Saturday, despite the 82-67 loss.
