Another Laramie business is shutting its doors.

Just two months after the move to its new location at 158 N 3rd Street, Sears Hometown Store is hosting a liquidation sale before the store stops operation at the end of July.

Owners Lindsay and Scott Hartman bought the store in March 2018 and immediately made plans for the expansion into the 3rd Street location. But that wasn't to be.

Laramie Live reached out to Sears Hometown Store corporate management for a comment, but was told that the matter was confidential and declined any further comment.

They did specify that all Sears card promotions will still apply to purchases made in the store until the sale ends.

The only comment General Manager Megan Beck made of the closure is that "It's a loss to the community. It's sad for the community and all the employees, but we are going to be working hard to serve the Laramie community until the end of liquidation"

Laramie Live tried to reach out to the Hartmans for comment, but was unable to.
