Search Of Wyoming Home Leads To Felony Pot Charges
A Rock Springs man is facing felony marijuana charges after police say they found over a pound of marijuana in his home.
According to a Rock Springs Police Department Facebook post, police executed a warrant at the home of the Hilty family on 9th street on Friday morning. The post says officers found more than a pound of weed as well as some paraphernalia. 65-year-old Rick Hilty was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, as well as possession of a controlled substance liquid more than 3/10 of a gram and use of a controlled substance.
The post does not say what the liquid substance was. 64-year-old Mary Hilty and 19-year-old Sierra Hilty were also arrested on misdemeanor pot charges. and use of a controlled substance.
Under Wyoming law, marijuana is listed as a schedule one drug. Felony possession of a schedule one drug with intent to deliver is punishable by up to 20 years in prison, a $25,000 fine or both
