Red Sox Hero Makes Special Moment For Sick Cheyenne Boy [VIDEO]
Boston Red Sox great David Ortiz and former player Kevin Millar made a storybook moment for a young Cheyenne boy Friday night at Fenway Park in Boston, according to the Casper Star-Tribune.
Maverick Schutte is a 6-year-old Cheyenne boy who has already had 30 surgeries because of a congenital heart defect. Before Friday's game against the Yankees, broadcaster and former player Kevin Millar filmed a video with with Ortiz in which the slugger promised to hit a home run. Millar sent the video to Maverick, who is being treated at a Denver hospital as he prepares for another round of surgery.
After Ortiz followed up the video by hitting a critical home run late in the game, he remembered his promise...
