This post includes an open letter to the governor of California, as well as the state legislators and Attorney General. Please be sure to scroll down to read it.

Recently, California added Iowa to the list of states on its ever-expanding "travel ban" list.

The blacklist now includes Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.

NOT WYOMING? Well, heck, that's just embarrassing. We need to be on that list.

The announcement by state Attorney General Xavier Becerra means that as of Oct. 4, California will no longer offer taxpayer-funded trips to Iowa for any public employee or student at a state-run university.

Iowa was added because of that state's new prohibition against funding gender-transition surgeries under Medicaid. This offends California's sensibilities, or something.

The authority was given to the state's attorney general came through a 2016 California law signed by then-Gov. Jerry Brown that bars state-funded travel to other states that undercut LGBT rights.

The following is an open letter to the once great state of California, now in serious and embarrassing decline, to please add the state of Wyoming to that list, for what should be obvious reasons.

Our long list comes to us with the help of the Wake Up Wyoming show listeners.

To Whom It May Concern, In The Once Great State Of California.

From one of the last free states, the one you call Wyoming. (We are that big square just above Colorado, in case you didn't know.

News still travels a little slow way out here in the West, so forgive us for just finding out that there are now 11 states on your "banned" list, prohibiting tax payer money to be used by state employees for trips to those states.

The blacklist now includes Alabama, Kentucky, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.

When we look at your list of "banned states," something is missing; Wyoming!

This omission has left us a little confused.

We have decided to view this as an embarrassing oversight on your part. Obviously Wyoming should be near, if not at the top of, that list.

Here is Wyoming we proudly DO NOT have a state income tax, and refuse to implement one.

We have seen the disaster that Medicaid expansion has caused the states around us, so we refuse to expand it here.

We love Chick Fil-A.

We proudly drink our drinks with straws. We drink from 44oz plastic cups. You gotta understand, it's kinda dry out here.

We have more guns per-capita than any other state, as well as more guns per citizen.

Law abiding citizens are not required to apply for a gun permit of any kind and can carry that gun any way they want, any time they want, any where they want. Because of the numbers of guns in this state, everyone is very polite to one another. Crime of any kind is very low.

Wyoming proudly extracts most of the nations coal, about 40%, and are major exporters of gas, oil, and uranium.

We understand that science that says CO2 is air born plant food, and not a pollutant. We don't even have vehicle emission inspections in this state.

Wyoming is also a cattle state. We love the smell of bovine farts in the morning.

Despite our disagreements, Wyoming will still provide your state with the electricity it needs as your so called green energy fails you. We are just good neighbors like that.

Wyoming favors a big long wall along the southern boarder of the U.S.. We support ice and the rule of law. Anyone is welcome to come to our country, as long as they do it legally.

We support our military. We love and honor our veterans. We support our brave police officers.

The vast majority of people in this highly Republican state eagerly voted for President Trump in the last election, and will again in 2020.

Adding Wyoming to the list of your "black balled states" would not only look good for you, politically, in your own state, but it would save us from having to explain ourselves to Alabama.
