None of the so-called experts though Jacob Hollister would ever make it in the NFL. Now entering his third year, the former Wyoming Cowboys tight end was traded by the New England Patriots to the Seattle Seahawks.

In two seasons with the Pats, Hollister played in 23 games, starting two games at tight end and recording eight receptions for 94 yards. He missed the playoffs after suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 16.

The trade marks a homecoming for Hollister, who was raised in the Pacific Northwest. At Wyoming, Hollister teamed with future NFL quarterback Josh Allen to form one of the most potent passing attacks in the Mountain West Conference. After signing with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2017, Hollister turned heads in training camp and was rewarded with a three-year, $1.67 million contract. In February, he became the 9th Wyoming alum to win a Super Bowl Championship.

In exchange for Hollister, the Patriots will receive a seventh-round pick in next year's NFL Draft.
