A crowd that appeared to number around 200 to 250 people or so rallied at the Wyoming Capitol Saturday in the latest ''No Kings Rally" at the Wyoming Capitol Building in Cheyenne.

The turnout seemed much smaller than similar anti-Trump rallies at the Capitol in recent years, which at times have been estimated to number in the range of 650 to 850 people.

But while the crowd did appear much smaller, that diminished size did not reflect a lack of enthusiasm on the part of participants. The rally also drew a steady stream of honks in apparent support from motorists driving by the event.

Event Organizer Says "It Feels Like" Kinney, Byrd Could Win Wyoming Races

Event organizer Joe Ramirez says the event was "all around voting and getting your voice out" for the November 3 General Election.

Ramirez told Townsquare Media that Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Byrd and congressional candidate Lisa Kinney ''are the best two candidates Wyoming has had. Not just Wyoming Democrats, but that Wyoming has had." Ramirez noted that Wyoming has not been represented by a Democrat in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House since the 1970s. But in regard to Kinney and Byrd winning in 2026, he said ''It feels like it could happen."

Wyoming was last represented in the Senate by Gale McGee, who was defeated for re-election by Malcolm Wallop in 1976. Teno Roncalio of Rock Springs was the state's last Democratic congressman. He decided not to seek reelection in 1978 after serving in the U.S. House since 1970.
