This 1908 novel written by Canadian Lucy Maud Montgomery will come to life this weekend, as performers take to the stage on a farm in Prince Edward Island.  The Next Step Performance Company is a group which has been around the Cheyenne area for just a few years. The company was started to take proceeds from performances, to help raise funds for scholarships for performing art students.

This weekend, the company has a cast of characters to present "Anne of Green Gables" at the playhouse located on the LCCC campus at 1400 E College Drive.

This will be fun for the whole family. Tickets can be purchased via www.brownpapertickets.com at $10 a piece.Tea will be served by the cast one hour prior to the presentation.

The production dates and time are:

  • Friday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 9 at 2:00 p.m. & 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 10 at 2:00 p.m.

The production is directed by Amy Gorbey, and assisted by Amy Threwitt. So make plans this weekend to watch the residents from Prince Edward Island, as they bring this classic novel to life in the presentation of "Anne of Green Gables."
