New Year’s Day Fire Causes Damage, No Injuries

A house fire in the 4500 block of Ocean Loop caused damage on New Year's day afternoon.

But because the residents of the home were out, no one was injured in the blaze. The fire was reported shortly before 2 p.m., and firefighters from  stations two, three and five responded along with a ladder truck from fire station one.

The fire remains under investigation, and no damage estimate was immediately available.
