National Weather Service Issues SE Wyoming Wind Warnings, Watches
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued high wind warnings and watches for large areas of southeast Wyoming for today (November 2) and Friday.
Areas covered include Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie, which is under a high wind watch.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Strong winds are going to be the game Thursday and Friday across much of southeast Wyoming. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the Arlington stretch of Interstate 80 from 6 AM Thursday through 6 AM Friday. High Wind Watches remain in effect for many areas of southeast Wyoming. Westerly winds gusting to 60 to 65mph are possible across many areas. This will lead to increased blow off/blowover risks for light weight and high profile vehicles, including those towing camper trailers. Follow WYDOT's Road Condition Report at wyoroad.info on latest advisories and/or restrictions on area interstates. Be safe!
