LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A Laramie woman accused of posting an anonymous Facebook threat against herself has a previous conviction involving a 2005 gun-waving incident.

Court records show Meg Lanker-Simons pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in May 2006 and was sentenced to six years of probation. The conviction stemmed from an incident in which Lanker-Simons confronted a man with a semi-automatic pistol at an Albany County radio station she had been fired from.

In the Facebook posting case, Lanker-Simons has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of interfering with a peace officer. University of Wyoming police say Lanker-Simons authored a sexually-threatening comment against herself on a Facebook forum and then lied about it. UW officials say  that Lanker-Simons graduated last weekend with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
