The U.S. Supreme Court this week blocked President Trump from restricting mail-in voting for the mid-term elections.

Needless to say, the President was not happy. But it looks like mail-in voting is here for now, including in Wyoming.

But what about going forward? After all, we have another election in just two years, and this time the office of President of the United States will be on the ballot.

As politically divided as the country is right now, it's not hard to imagine that mail-in ballots could decide who the next President will be if the election is close.

Arguments Against Mail-In Voting

President Trump left little doubt as to where he stands on the issue.  In a Truth Social post, the President wrote: "Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting “disaster,” which is a laughing stock all over the World, and where we are the only country that has to endure such a Nation Destroying SCAM."

Opponents say the practice of mail-in voting is an invitation and should stop.

Arguments for Mail-In Voting

Supporters of mail-in voting argue that it's safe and improves voter turnout. They say that despite all of the claims of corruption in cases of mail-in voting, there is almost no documented evidence of that happening anywhere in the country.

In a state like Wyoming, where a lot of people live in remote areas, being able to vote by mail is a viable option. Especially since early November weather in the Cowboy State can mean icy or even closed roadways.

And what about Seniors who may not be able to drive? Shouldn't they be able to vote by mail?

To be clear, we aren't talking about people serving in the military. For many of them, mail-in voting may be the only option.

So what do you think? Should Wyoming end mail-in voting for the 2028 election?
