Former Laramie County Commissioner Moses Lee Hasenauer and current Cheyenne City Councilman Bryan Cook are among the applicants for a recently-vacated seat on the Laramie County Commission.

The Laramie County Republican Party will choose three candidates on Saturday to replace Amber Ash, a Republican who recently resigned her seat on the commission to take a job as head of the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority.

The commission will then select one of the three to replace Ash. Hasenauer was elected to the commission in 2010 but lost a re-election bid in 2014. He was defeated in campaigns for the commission again in 2016 and 2018.

Cook has been a member of the Cheyenne City Council since 2013.
