Longtime Head of Visit Cheyenne Announces Resignation

Visit Cheyenne President and CEO Darren Rudloff announced Wednesday he will end his 22-year career with the organization on Dec. 31.

Rudloff, who's served as the head of Visit Cheyenne since 1997, is starting his own business to provide strategic planning, research and organizational assistance to tourism organizations.

"It has truly been an honor to lead Visit Cheyenne and to promote all that Laramie County has to offer," said Rudloff.  "I am very thankful to all the individuals I've worked with who have made this job such a pleasure."

Some of Rudloff's notable accomplishments include expansion of the city's trolley fleet and tour offerings, creation of the city's wayfinding signs and leadership in restoring the city's historic depot.​

"Darren's vision, leadership and management skills have been instrumental in developing Visit Cheyenne and the local hospitality industry for over 20 years," said Visit Cheyenne Board of Directors Chairman Tony O'Brien.  "He leaves the organization in a strong position for continued growth in the hospitality industry."

The board has established a search committee to immediately begin searching for Rudloff's replacement.
