A spokeswoman for Cheyenne ;Light, Fuel and Power has announced that company will be changing it's name to Black Hills Energy in 2016.

Sharon Fain says local customers will begin seeing the Black Hills Energy logo on bills, signs, company vehicles and employee uniforms starting in the early part of 2016, with the change expected to be completed by the middle of the year. The name change reflects the name of the local utility's parent company, Black Hills Corporation.

Fain says aside from the name change local customers shouldn't expect any major changes in service or company polices. Shirley Welte, the company's director of utility operations said  ''Our commitment in serving Cheyenne and neighboring communities will remain strong".
