If you've never seen or been to the Grand Tetons, then you are certainly missing out. But when Congress established it as a national park, it was a bit smaller than now.

The park was named after the highest, or tallest, mountain on the Tetons Range, also known as the "Grand Tetons." The range was actually named by some French men who, in their language, named it "les trois tetons", translated the three teats, or "Tetons."

On Feb. 26, 1929, Congress established what is now known as Grand Tetons National Park. The park is visited by many throughout the year for hiking, camping, skiing, boating and "mountaineering."

Recently, Disney came out with a movie called, "The Good Dinosaur", which showed animated Grand Tetons as a back drop.

If you stop off there, be sure to visit the Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center in Moose, Wyoming. It's nice to know that Congress can do something right.
