
Laramie Honored For Budget And Financial Reporting
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The city of Laramie has received a national award for its budget and financial reporting.
The Associated Press reports the Government Finance Officers Association recently presented the city with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The award is for the city's current fiscal budget.
Malea Brown, Laramie's administrative services director, says the award shows the city has increased its standards for creating a user-friendly budget for the public.
To receive an award, governmental organizations must be rated proficient in a variety of categories.
