Laramie County Commissioners have rescinded a partial fire ban that was imposed last month.

The area has gotten quite a bit of rain and snow over the past week, dampening a fire danger that had been stoked up by unusually dry conditions earlier this spring.

Several large grass fires were reported in the county in April, including one near the Dyno Nobel facility that torched 2500 acres.

Under the partial ban that was rescinded on Wednesday, most outdoor fires were prohibited. Residents were allowed to burn trash between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m.

County officials will continue to monitor fire conditions going forward, and more restrictions may be imposed over the next few weeks if the fire danger increases.
