Keystone Fire in Southeast Wyoming Still Growing
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A wildfire threatening cabins in the mountains of southeastern Wyoming has burned almost three square miles with no end in sight.
Cabins remain evacuated in the Keystone area of Medicine Bow National Forest between Centennial and the Colorado line.
Firefighters said Friday they successfully burned out vegetation to block the fire's spread to the north. They're also clearing fire lines along existing barriers such as roads and trails.
The fire began Monday and firefighters are using water sprinklers to keep cabins from catching on fire.
