Jurors Convict Man In Lander Killing

LANDER, Wyo. (AP) — A jury has convicted a Lander resident accused of killing his cousin and sexually assaulting his cousin's fiancee last year.

The Riverton Ranger reports John Thomas Hereford was convicted Friday of second-degree murder, kidnapping and one count of first-degree sexual assault. He was acquitted of a second charge of first-degree sexual assault.

Hereford could be sentenced to life in prison. A sentencing hearing wasn't immediately scheduled.
