Here we go again. Casper Wyoming. McKinley Street railroad bridge. Once again, a rental truck tried to get under the bridge and - CLUNK!

This was one of many times a rental truck has done exactly this. According to Oil City News, they have plenty of pictures of past rental truck strikes to prove it.

Looking back at past local news articles from various news sources, this bridge has taken multiple hits over the years, usually from Ryder rental trucks.

It is amazing that truck rental places just hand over the keys to people with zero experience behind the wheel of rigs like this and let them go. Then the inexperienced driver heads toward a bridge like this without even slowing down.

Not only will a hit like this hurt the driver, but the truck and the bridge as well. On more than one occasion, this bridge had to be closed for repairs.

Let's add to it that the road goes down, then up, right under the bridge, making passing under it even more difficult. Professional truck drivers would know this, but most average drivers don't even think about it.

Rental drivers are told, and there is a warning in the truck, about the height of their vehicles. But they often don't think about that as they head toward a bridge.

Here's an idea. Let's add a sign like this.

It's a simple concept. If the driver hears the top of the truck hit the sign, then they know they can't get under the bridge. I would say that any fool could figure that out, but you know I'd be proven wrong.

Wyoming's Ceepiest Pet Cemetery

The writing on the stones shows that these people loved their pets so much that they wanted to take special care of them when they died.

Yet, approaching this place looks like something out of a Stephen King novel.
