The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is responsible for countywide law enforcement in Wyoming, focusing on patrolling unincorporated areas, managing the county jail, and providing court security. Key duties include criminal investigations, civil process services (evictions/subpoenas), and operating a dedicated traffic unit.
Laramie County, Wyoming, covers a total area of approximately 2,688 square miles. Located in the southeast corner of the state, it consists of 2,686 square miles of land and 1.6 square miles of water. It is the 15th largest county in Wyoming by total area, acting as a major hub with its county seat in Cheyenne.
