The National High School Finals Rodeo continued on Monday in Gillette with 2 performances. In perf #1 Kash Reynolds of Rozet and Talon Larson of Gillette turned in the best time of the morning with an 8.14. In the bareback, Roedy Farrell of Thermopolis posted a 65 which was the 2nd best score in the performance. On the ladies' side, Caitlyn Moore of Wright got off to a great start in the pole bending with a 19.66 and that was the top effort in the first 3 sessions of NHSFR. Also on Monday morning, Abigail Olson from Sheridan turned in a time of 17.49 in the barrel racing for 3rd in the early performance while Adeline Norstegaard from Gillette was 16th in the cutting with 148.

In the evening performance on Monday, Gillette's Jordan Morman had a clocking of 18.796 in the barrel racing which was in 15th place for the night. Yoder's Hadley Thompson was 21st in the pole bending at 26.441.

The National High School Finals will be 2 sessions per day at the Camplex with the championship short go on Saturday night.
