Drown Sunshine Sorrows and Drink to Charity at Laramie’s Brewtober
Laramie Brewfest is a memory, much like Laramie sunshine. To say goodbye to Laramie summer, drown your tears for charity this weekend at Brewtober.
StagePoint Federal Credit Union is making it easy to be charitable at Brewtober. What better way to give back than by tossing one back? Their nonprofit foundation hosts the hoppy philanthropic event each year in order to give back to the Laramie community.
StagePoint Community Foundation is holding the third annual Brewtober this Saturday, Sept. 16. The beer drinking for a good cause will be at Undine Park from noon- 5 p.m. Tickets are limited; purchase them here or on the event day.
The foundation is through Stagepoint Federal Credit Union in Laramie. All donations and proceeds from fundraising events support non-profit organizations that benefit the community. The Foundation primarily focuses on programs that assist the disadvantaged, youth programs, education, military, and first responders.
Organizations helped by the foundation include a variety of youth sports, food insecurity programs like Interfaith and the Soup Kitchen, SAFE Project, Hospice of Laramie, 4-H, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ivinson Memorial Hospital, and many more.
Last year staff volunteered almost 2,000 hours of time to these organizations, too.
There are over 50 beers and seltzers to try. Go to Undine, get your mug, drink for fun, for philanthropy, and for the community. Nick’s Food Rendezvous truck will be there, too.
