Welcome to Wyoming Football: Henry Rehberg
LARAMIE -- Wyoming has welcomed nearly 50 new faces this offseason.
Transfer portal era, am I right?
Jay Sawvel knew a rebuild on defense was in order after losing both starting linebackers and safeties, along with leaders like Jordan Bertagnole and DeVonne Harris. The departures of Wrook Brown, Sabastian Harsh and Keany Parks only magnified things.

The second-year head coach got busy, inking a dozen transfers on that side of the ball on February's traditional signing day and adding three more since the annual spring game.
On offense, the damage was limited.
Yes, running back Harrison Waylee is now at Virginia. Young wideout Justin Stevenson is a Utah Ute now, too. But if you ask Sawvel, he kept the players he wanted on offense, beginning with quarterback Kaden Anderson.
Three of the Cowboys' top linemen -- Jack Walsh, Caden Barnett and Wes King -- are also back. So is tight end John Michael Gyllenborg, wide receivers Chris Durr Jr. and Jaylen Sargent, along with leading rusher Sam Scott.
So, without further ado, let's spent the summer meeting the new players that litter this 2025 roster:
NAME | Henry Rehberg
YEAR | Freshman
HT/WT | 6' 2", 255
HOMETOWN | Omaha, Neb.
POSITION | Defensive tackle
JERSEY NUMBER | 96
PREVIOUS SCHOOL | Millard North High School
YEARS OF ELIGIBILITY | Four
NOTABLE | Henry Rehberg gobbled up seven official offers out of Millard North High School after recording 47 tackles, including nine for loss to go along with seven sacks during his senior season. Defending national champion North Dakota State wanted the defensive tackle. So did Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Soon-to-be Mountain West foe, Northern Illinois, also extended the invite to join the Huskies program. Rehberg chose Wyoming last July, becoming one of the first verbal commits of the 2025 class. The three-star prospect was named the No. 14 overall recruit in Nebraska, according to 247sports.com. Those accolades will come when you register 15 career sacks and 22.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage from the interior. Rehberg was also named to the Class A All-State team.
QUOTABLE | "He's been committed to us for a while, as well. He has one of the best motors in the class. One of the best motors for a D-lineman, you'll watch. It's one of the things we loved about him. He was a guy that, off of his junior film, we loved ... We were optimistic he was going to show up and be the size we wanted, and he was bigger than we even expected. So, that was a huge bonus. He's a guy we're really excited about, what he can be and just how active and athletic he is," former UW Director of Player Personnel Kirby O'Meara said last December on early signing day
