LARAMIE -- University of Wyoming head men’s basketball coach Jeff Linder announced the addition of Oliver Faubert to the 2024-25 roster on Friday. The native Ottawa, Ontario is the fourth signee to the signing class.
Faubert, a 6-9, 205-pound wing, will be the third native of Canada to sign with head coach Jeff Linder. On3.com ranked Faubert as a three-star recruit. He also received offers from Arizona State, Ole Miss and Seton Hall.
He currently plays at Fort Erie International Academy, which is one of the top prep schools in Canada. So far this season, Faubert is shooting 64 percent from behind the arc, as he is scoring 12 points per game. He is also adding 5.2 rebounds per game and two assists per contest.
Linder on Faubert
“We’re thrilled about the addition of Oliver Faubert to the 2024 signing class. Oliver comes to us from one of the most successful prep programs in Canada, Fort Erie International Academy, and a strong AAU program in Brookwood Elite on the adidas 3SSB circuit. The level of coaching and competition he faces daily, has helped elevate his game to a high level. As a player, Oliver has the unique blend of size and skill, which allows him to play on the wing or inside. His ability to shoot along with posting-up smaller defenders really separates him from other wing-forwards. His upside and versatility will allow him to excel at the Mountain West level.”
“Additionally, Oliver comes from a great family and is a high character young man with a strong academic background. We can’t wait to get to work with Oliver in the near future.”
