A Night at the Pub with ‘The Choir of Man’ at the Civic Center
This show looks like an amazing, fun time! Imagine a rockling sing-along in an Irish pub; beer, music, dancing! And you are there!
The show is called The Choir of Man. I first heard rumblings about it when it became a runaway hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland in 2017. Thanks to my lingering Hamilton obsession, I've learned to pay more attention to the stage productions, and I'm glad I found this. I watched the videos on YouTube and listened to the cast album, now I get to see it live in Cheyenne. The show will be at the Civic Center this month!
It's just an evening of fun and music presented by a fantastically talented group of performers. The best way to describe the show is to let them do it:
It’s a party. It’s a concert. It’s a pint-filled good time set in a working pub (free beer anyone?) that combines hair-raising harmonies, high-energy dance, and live percussion with foot-stomping choreography. The multi-talented cast of nine handsome blokes sings everything – pub tunes, folk, Broadway, classic rock – all to roof-raising heights. It’s the best singing, dancing, stomping, pub crawl of a concert you’ll ever attend! CHEERS!
Oh yeah, that's right, the beer! On the stage, it's not just a set, it's a WORKING pub. In fact, you may get lucky enough to be invited to share a pint with the lads during the show.
The Choir of Man will be at the Cheyenne Civic Center on Sunday, February 24, 2019. Tickets are on sale now
