Recovery efforts are underway in Pine Bluffs following a devastating hail storm that swept through the area Wednesday afternoon.

The storm featured golf and tennis ball size hail which inflicted widespread damage on cars, homes and trees. Virtually every building in the city is said to have a damaged window or two from the storm, if not more severe damage.

Cheyenne has sent a total of 13 city employees as well as a wide range of equipment to help with the recovery efforts.

The American Red Cross and the Wyoming National Guard are also helping out in the small Laramie County community, which has a population of around 1100 people.

Pine Bluffs is located about 40 miles east of Cheyenne.
