The new History Channel series "The Strongest Man In History" features four of the top powerlifters in the world recreating famous feats of strength from the past. In the latest episode, the competitors come to Cody, Wyo. to honor one of Buffalo Bill's legendary showmen.

Four-time World's Strongest Man Brian Shaw teams with 2017 World's Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall, World Champion Powerlifter Nick Best, and strongman veteran Robert Oberst on the show. In Wyoming, the hosts pay homage to William Bankier who earned worldwide fame as "Apollo The Scottish Hercules" with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in the late 1800s.

After hauling 1,000-lb. hay bails on a ranch, the crew moved to the historic Irma Hotel, where they attempted to lift and carry several 475-lb. bags. For the grand finale, the strong men recreated a vintage Bankier stunt, carrying pianos on their backs through the streets of downtown Cody.

"We don't get that many people at World's Strongest Man events," Shaw said about the crowd in Cody. "There must have been two or three thousand people there lining the entire street and the energy they gave off was awesome."

"The Strongest Man In History" airs Wednesday nights on the History Channel
