Harm Reduction in Wyoming Groups Meet
The National Harm Reduction Coalition, in collaboration with the Wyoming Department of Health, will be hosting a series of three community meetings to explore what harm reduction services look or can look like in Wyoming.
The first of these meetings was held Monday October 7th in Cheyenne, the second will be on Wednesday October 9th in Casper, and a final one on Friday October 11th in Riverton.
These community meetings will be the official launch of a two year process through which Wyoming has an opportunity to reduce opioid overdose, hepatitis C, and HIV, by building community awareness and a network of harm reduction services for people who use drugs. Harm Reduction Coalition will be working in partnership with the Wyoming State Health Department to establish a network of providers across the state to build capacity and understanding of harm reduction approaches to drug-related harms.
Registration is free, and to participate in the Casper event you can register online, as well as for the Riverton session on Friday.
