Governor Matt Mead gave an opening address Wednesday to the Silver-Haired Legislature of Wyoming meeting in Cheyenne this week. The Governor said while the state is experiencing a downturn in revenues, it's still in pretty good shape. He also said his office will continue to look at ways to streamline state government and develop an energy plan that works for the state. The Wyoming Association of Senior Project Directors, supervised by the governor, sponsors the Silver-Haired Legislature as a service to all Wyoming seniors. The Silver-Haired Legislature is conducted as a close replica of the Wyoming State Legislature and is an excellent means of educating Wyoming seniors on the legislative and political process.
