Firefighters Extinguish Interstate 80 Trailer Fire Monday Night
Firefighters with Laramie County Fire Districts 3 and 5 were called out at 7:40 p.m. on Monday to a vehicle fire at mile marker 397 of westbound Interstate 80.
That's according to a post on the LCFD# 5 Facebook page. According to the post, firefighters found that the rear trailer tires of an enclosed car hauler trailer were on fire. the first fire engine crew on the scene was able to put out the blaze before it could spread into the trailer.
The Blaze impacted Westbound Travel On I-80
No injuries were reported, but traffic in the westbound lanes of I-80 was restricted to one lane for a while.
According to the post, The Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Sheriff's Office, and Pine Bluffs Police Department supported firefighters by providing traffic control while they fought the fire.
