CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Eastern Shoshone Tribe has a new liaison to represent the tribe in working with the state of Wyoming government.

The Eastern Shoshone Business Council recently appointed Sara Robinson as its new tribal liaison. Robinson replaces Edward Wadda who was killed in a car accident last year.

Gov. Matt Mead said he looks forward to working with Robinson.

Robinson served on the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees and the Eastern Shoshone Business Council. She has been an educator on the Wind River Reservation and has been a public defender. Robinson has her bachelor's in education and a law degree from the University of Wyoming.

Robinson joins Gary Collins who is the tribal liaison for the Northern Arapaho Tribe.
