Drone Captures the Big Boy Majestically Crossing a Wyoming Pass

Earlier this year, we shared some video of Wyoming’s legendary Big Boy train making its way across Wyoming and down into Utah. There’s new video that’s just been shared of the Big Boy traversing a Wyoming pass by a drone.

The video was just dropped on YouTube by Shawn Billings. He mentions this is captured near Hadsell cut. Try as I might, I cannot figure out exactly where this pass is located in Wyoming. Based on what I’ve found, it appears he’s referring to the area near Rawlins in Carbon County.

As the Visit Cheyenne website mentions, this year marked the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad. They also shared a sweet website where you can track where the Big Boy is at in real time.
