Director Talbott Retires After 34 Years with Wyoming Game & Fish
Wyoming Game and Fish Director Scott Talbott is retiring after 34 years of service with the department, the agency announced late Thursday.
Talbott, who was appointed director in 2011, said it's been an honor and privilege working with and for the people of Wyoming.
"The work has been both incredibly challenging and immensely rewarding," Talbott said in a news release.
"My colleagues who work for this agency are unbelievable stewards of Wyoming’s world-class wildlife and it was a joy working shoulder to shoulder with them throughout my career," he added.
The Game and Fish Commission will present three candidates for the vacancy to Gov. Mark Gordon, who will then appoint Talbott's replacement.
