I just got a Facebook post from my friend, Phil Nobel, (below) that was the second reminder this week us of one of the most important priorities we can have this Christmas season;

"When filling out your Christmas cards this year, take one card & send it to this address: A Recovering American Soldier, c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20307-5001. If we pass this on & everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful, brave & special people who have sacrificed so much would get. "

A few days ago, while driving somewhere insignificant in what seemed like my priority One at the time, I was reminded, for the first time this season, of how insignificant  my trip and priority really was when I happened to notice the sign at the entry of the V.A. Hospital..."The Price of Freedome is Visible Here".

Right now, there are thousands of brave men and women who won't be home this Christmas, because they are patients in our nation's military hospitals suffering from the wounds and injuries they suffered while serving to protect the freedoms we love and enjoy. If we don't do anything else today, let us take time to remember them and to keep them and their families in our prayers. God Bless Them Everyone!
