Two men were shot and killed in Colorado last week and the suspect is still at large.

The incident occurred last Thursday, September 9th, 2021, when a man opened fire on two other men, who eventually succumbed to their injuries.

The man, who has yet to be been identified but is presumed to be 43-year-old Lamar Taylor, is currently being sought out by police.

The incident happened in the mid-afternoon hours of Thursday, September 9th in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a call coming into authorities at about 3:50 p.m. It has been reported that the incident occurred at  3680 Citadel Drive at the Elks Lodge that is situated in the area. The Elks Lodge in question is known as number 473.

The victims of the shooting have been identified by authorities as 58-year-old James Love and 62-year-old Kevin Patterson, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Colorado Springs Police Department released this statement to the public following the ordeal:

Detectives have continued their investigation and have identified a suspect. Detectives applied for and obtained an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Lamar Taylor on the charge of Murder in the first degree (two counts) along with other charges. The suspect is not in custody and detectives from CSPD’s Homicide/Assault Unit and Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force have been actively trying to locate him.

Although the Colorado Springs Police Department has landed on a chief suspect with regard to these murders, they are still actively searching for the shooter that they believe to be responsible for these crimes.
