Following a Wednesday Facebook rant by a Colorado police officer, Platteville Police Chief Carl Dwyer put the author of the Facebook post, Officer Jason Taft, on administrative leave.

The post read:

“Democrats you were scared of Trump now’s the true time to be afraid,” Jason Taft, an officer with the Platteville Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“If for some reason we lose do we get to be little bitches and beat the hell out of the other party like they did,” he said.

He went on to tell Democrats to "please meet me at the battle grounds".

In the comment section of the post Taft said he was willing to lose his job in order to hurt Democrats.

“I’m ready to leave my job just so I can hurt these people that act like they know what real life is about. They are a bunch of time out in the corner billy people,” Taft commented, according to The Denver Post.

“They have no clue of the true rath thats coming. Dems you thought you made a scene or statement with BLM just wait this it will be fun!”, said Taft.

In an email to the Denver Post, Chief Carl Dwyer said that Taft was immediately placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.

Taft has served Weld county as an officer since January of 2018.
