Co-Defendants in Cheyenne Home Burglaries Plead Guilty
Two Cheyenne men involved in multiple home burglaries last December have accepted plea deals.
Rodrigo Martinez and Jesus Gracia changed their pleas Monday afternoon in Laramie County District Court.
Martinez pleaded guilty to burglary and three counts of theft, while Gracia pleaded guilty to two counts of accessory, aid and abet and wrongful disposal of property. Each count carries a maximum penalty of up to ten years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
Martinez, through his interpreter, admitted to taking cash, jewelry and guns from four residences between Dec. 5-9.
Gracia told Judge Steven Sharpe that he "drove Martinez to the residences" and that the property Martinez stole was "wasted, pawned or disposed of."
Both men remain free on bond. Their sentencings will be set before Sharpe as soon as pre-sentence reports are completed.
