CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A federal judge has ruled that a 41-year-old Cheyenne woman must pay more than $45,000 in restitution for Social Security fraud.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy D. Freudenthal gave Erin Meyen two years of supervised probation for unlawfully using Social Security benefits meant to support her disabled son.

Court documents say Meyen received supplemental security income benefits for her son from June 2004 to February 2013 but used them for herself.

She pleaded guilty after being charged in February.
