Cheyenne Officials Order Demolition of Hitching Post Inn
The City of Cheyenne Building Safety Department has ordered the owner of the Hitching Post Inn to demolish and remove the structure.
In a Dec. 7 letter to Victory Real Estate Management LLC, Chief Building Official Blas Hernandez says a Dec. 6 inspection found the structure "unsafe for human habitation" and "unreasonable to repair."
Hernandez goes on to say "these buildings are a nuisance to the community and dangerous to public safety."
If the owner fails to comply with the order within 30 days, the city will begin the demolition process at the owner's expense.
The owner has 20 days to file a written appeal.
