Cheyenne Firefighters Selling Christmas Trees For Charity
The Cheyenne Firefighters of Local 279 of the IAFF (International Association of Firefighters) will be selling Christmas trees for charity again this year.
That's according to Derek Pollnow, spokesman for the Cheyenne Firefighters. He says two local organizations, Youth Alternatives, and Safe House, will benefit from the sales of the trees.
Buyers can also help a third organization, Cheyenne Coats for Kids, by buying the Cheyenne Firefighters first-ever calendar. The Coats for Kids program will receive the firefighter's portions of sales from both the Firefighters calendar as well as the Black Dog Animal rescue calendar.
The firefighters Christmas tree stand will be located behind the Cheyenne Fire and Rescue fire station #5 off of Dell Range Blvd. in front of Walmart.
It will operate Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will open up for the first time at 6 p.m. on Black Friday.
