Have you experienced Shakespeare performed in the park?

The Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company will present 'Taming of the Shrew' in Lions Park for free on Saturday evening, July 11.

William Shakespeare's comedy, 'Taming of the Shrew, will be presented by the Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company in the open glade near the Peace Gardens at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens on Saturday, July 11, starting at 5 p.m. The performance is free thanks to their sponsors; Davis & Cannon, LLP, and the Little America Hotel & Resort. Donations are also accepted.

The free show will be directed by Diane Springford. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, rain gear and maybe a picnic dinner. The performance is also sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Wyoming Shakespeare Festival Company will also be presenting a free workshop for budding actors. In 90 minutes they'll teach you everything you need to know about performing Shakespeare's plays. Children and adults are invited. The workshop will be held at the Paul Smith Children's Village beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
